Avatar 2 OTT Release Date
The official Avatar 2 OTT Release Date has not been announced yet. According to some reports, the science fiction film Avatar: The Way of Water will make its OTT release in the month of July 2023. Avatar: The Way of Water, also known as Avatar 2, is an American science fiction film directed by James Cameron, a Canadian filmmaker. It is the sequel to the film Avatar, released in 2009. The film is based on Characters written by James Cameron, Josh Friedman and Shane Salerno.
Generally, it takes up to 182 days for a film to release on an OTT platform. Avatar: The Way of Water is the second instalment of the Avatar series. In 2010, the film director, James Cameron, announced the first two sequels of the Avatar series.
First, the film Avatar 2 was scheduled to be released in 2014. However, the release date was postponed due to the lack of technology to capture the film’s underwater scenes.

It is not yet confirmed that the OTT rights of the film, Avatar: The Way of Water will go to which OTT Platform. But, as per some reports, the film’s digital rights can probably go to Disney+ Hotstar.

In 2019, Disney+ Hotstar acquired the 20th Century Studios, which is the distributor of the film. So, the film can be released online on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. Although, there has been no official confirmation regarding the OTT platform yet.

James Cameron announced that there would be a total of Five movies in the Avatar series. The production of the third instalment of the series, Avatar 3, has already begun on 15th August 2017 in Manhattan Beach, California. After three years of shooting, the production concluded in September 2020.
